How the site is built

• Semantic HTML with headings in logical order, landmarks and a skip link to the main content.
• Full keyboard navigation with visible focus indicators and no keyboard traps.
• Text contrast checked against WCAG 2.2 AA for the colour combinations used.
• Support for prefers-reduced-motion: animations are disabled when the system requests it.
• Forms with associated labels, an accessible error summary and status messages announced to screen readers.
• Tables with row and column headers and descriptive captions.
• No information conveyed by colour alone.

Content and language

Text is written to be understandable: short sentences, technical terms explained, and a consistent structure across pages. The Italian and English versions are written separately, never machine-translated.

Known limitations

• Some linked official documents (Questura PDFs) may not be accessible: they are published by the competent authorities and we cannot modify them.
• The tools require JavaScript; the guides and sources remain fully readable without it.
• We have not yet completed testing with users of assistive technologies: reports and suggestions are welcome.

Reference standards

The site is designed according to WCAG 2.2 level AA principles and AGID guidance for digital services, adapted to a private informational website.
